The McKee Gallery is pleased to present the second solo exhibition in New York of paintings by MARCEL EICHNER, from November 7 – December 20, 2014.

Opening reception for the artist is Friday, November 7 from 6-8pm.

Eichner was born in 1977, in Siegburg, Germany. From 1999 to 2004 he studied at the Art Academy, Dusseldorf, and now lives and works in Berlin.

Eichner’s world of awkward figures and strange connections, shows the constant human struggle of trying to come to terms with reality- a world of nightmares and fantasy, but with a satisfying cohesion and a hint of humor that gives us hope that all anxiety can be overcome.

Acrylic, oils, ink are simply the materials with which he can etch his line with nib, or stick. A refined sense of color enters naturally into his compositions, and his superb instinct for line creates a web of intriguing content on a mysterious stage.

An e-catalogue will soon be available on the website. For further information and images, please contact karyn@mckeegallery.com.
